March 07, 2008 - Globerian India Private Limited, a leading healthcare BPO and wholly owned subsidiary of Mediconnect Global, Inc., conducted two medical coding workshops for experienced medical coders and one orientation workshop for aspiring medical coders on February 28th. Nancy Reading, VP of Education for The American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC), addressed the workshops.
Medical coders and those aspiring to be medical coders from healthcare outsourcing companies across the national capital region attended the workshops at Globerian.
Ms. Reading introduced the latest developments in Medical Coding to the attendees and addressed many queries.
Medical Coding is one of the fastest growing vertical markets of healthcare outsourcing. Healthcare BPOs in the U.S. and India are experiencing acute shortages of medical coders resulting in increased demand for medical coding training courses. Globerian and the AAPC, through a strategic partnership in medical coding training, examination and certification, offer the most recognized and comprehensive medical coding education in North India.
“Globerian is continuously working towards providing quality education in the Medical Coding field,” said Thenny Mejia, Sr. Vice President at Globerian. “The fact that 100 percent of those medical coders trained at Globerian achieve certification is a testament of our training quality.
“It was a privilege for us to host Nancy at Globerian. The medical coding fraternity has greatly benefited from her experience and counsel.”
