November 01, 2007 - Globerian, a subsidiary of Utah based MediConnect Global, Inc. and a leading Healthcare BPO of India, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Monday with The University of Utah as a Health Information Research, Analysis and Management partner.
Globerian and The University of Utah will work together to identify and explore ideas and technologies that can be co-developed to rapidly improve the collection and transfer of health information and provide more efficient healthcare practice management.
Jon Huntsman, Utah State Governor, Mr. Naveen Trehan, CEO of Globerian, and Jack Brittain, vice president University of Utah Technology Venture Development, participated in the MoU signing ceremony in New Delhi, India.
The partnership between the two entities is designed to open new doors of opportunity for Globerian and contributes to its rapid growth.
"One of the three most important areas in which Utah is working on is life sciences. This is the area where Utah continues to seek partnerships with off-shore Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) companies," said Huntsman. “As a leading India based BPO and health information company, Globerian is an ideal partner for both the State of Utah and The University of Utah.”
“This partnership will enable us to combine the highly talented people of India with the advanced research facilities of The University of Utah for the benefit of the entire healthcare industry” said Mr. Trehan. “Together we will develop trail breaking technologies in health information and health practice management.”
