July 11, 2007 - Anderson & Anderson Anger Management Services, the leading provider of anger management skills and training, is proud to announce its upcoming facilitator training on July 27-28, 2007 in Oakland, CA. The training, which will be hosted by Anderson & Anderson co-founder, George Anderson, BCD, LCSW, will be focused specifically on training individuals from various educational backgrounds how to utilize the Anderson & Anderson model of anger management. This model focuses on four areas of anger management: communication, anger management, stress management, and emotional intelligence, or empathy.
This anger management model has become very popular with courthouses and employers all across the United States and in different parts of the world. There is a good reason for this: anger management is not simply a fad. It has become apparent that, across the globe, people are more likely to respond to stressful situations in one of two ways: fight-or-flight.
The problem is that fighting usually includes hardcore aggressiveness, while fleeing involves apathy or passiveness. The bottom line is that neither of these responses ever really lead to good outcomes. The Anderson & Anderson anger management facilitator training will teach that assertive communication and emotional intelligence (or empathy) are the keys to maintaining composure without sacrificing one’s own wellbeing.
Facilitators will learn how to administer an anger management assessment, effectively facilitate adult anger management groups, effectively interview and work with executive coaching clients, and utilize the effectiveness of the model using the four areas mentioned above.
