May 19, 2007 - Production capacity will grow parallel to the demand rise. The three major regions of the benzene market - the USA, Western Europe and Japan – will face the slight slowdown in benzene output growth, while in other regions the production growth rate will augment.
The benzene capacity growth rate will rise from 16% to 19% in Asia (excl. Japan) and from 23% to 24% in the rest of the world (excl. US and W. Europe).
The bulk of new facilities will be commissioned in the Middle East where the production will grow by 12% in the coming years.
