Gimme Vending Wins Atlanta Metro Export Challenge Grant
Gimme Vending, maker of innovative vending technology that gives vending executives better sales, cash, inventory and service data, has been selected as an Atlanta Metro Export Plan (MEP) Challenge Grant First Round Winner for 2016, as part of Atlanta's participation in the Global Cities Initiative (CGI).
- (1888PressRelease) February 04, 2016 - The inaugural event is powered by Chase which boosts support for small and medium-sized businesses looking to begin exporting or to increase their export programs.
"We are keyed up and grateful for this grant, and the timing couldn't be better," said Cory Hewett, CEO and co-founder of Gimme. "Since announcing the launch of our solution less than 10 days ago, we have received inquiries from vending operators from Bermuda to the United Kingdom."
Nearly 70 companies, ranging in size from pre-revenue startups to small and established medium-sized businesses, applied for the 35 available grants. To see the full list of grant awardees, click here.
Launched in June 2015, the competition is based on an initiative to stimulate economic growth in the region and create quality jobs through exports. The Atlanta Metro Export Challenge will distribute a total of $210,000 over the course of the competition, aiming to encourage area companies to export and drive business growth by increasing international sales of local products and services.
