The Gigabit Ethernet fiber converter includes Quality of Service (QoS) functionality that ensures transmission of VoIP packets, as well as Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) to form a redundant network. It is capable of automatic negotiation. The selection of multiple types of fiber ports is provided to satisfy specific user requirements. It conducts transmission of extra-long packets over VLAN and extends the transmission distance of a network from 100m to 120km over copper wires.
