June 11, 2009 - West Palm Beach, Florida – Hammacher Schlemmer, Anjolee, BabyEarth, Abe’s of Maine, Boca Java, Scandia, Kodak, and M&Ms are just some of the Online Merchants that are now a part of a new Affiliate Marketing effort, announced today by GiftGeek, the consumer products rating service that was recently acquired by Sound Promotions of Los Angeles.
“This is our first major initiative since the two companies merged,” said David Mulder, Director of Corporate Communications for GiftGeek. “Sound Promotions and GiftGeek have meshed seamlessly under the corporate umbrella of our new parent company, SumTotal Communications, and our new venture, Premium Brands is attracting the participation of some of the top names in high-end e-Commerce.”
According to SumTotal Communications, President Alan Forray, who has been the driving force behind the “Blending” of Sound Promotions and GiftGeek, this is just the beginning of a focused roll-out of new labels over the next eighteen months.
“Presently, we have American Consumer serving as an Online Shopping Watchdog that people rely on for information on who’s who in the e-tail space. Their job is to sort the quality merchants from the fly-by-night operators, of which there are thousands. Then, there’s our GiftGeek label which is transitioning from products rating to products recommending; and now we have the Premium Brands Affiliate site which is adding top names on an almost daily basis,” said Forray.
While the Sound Promotions name is being phased out over the summer, with GiftGeek absorbing their clients and taking the lead on new initiatives, Premium Brands is the first of several planned roll-outs under the new structure of SumTotal Communications.
“Next month we’ll be introducing our super-discount site which is, as yet, unnamed,” Said Mulder. “It’s been very exciting since Alan (Forray) consolidated all the companies and moved us to our new corporate headquarters in Florida. Big things are coming, and the SumTotal team is firing on all cylinders.”
