February 19, 2009 - International contract research organization GenScript Corporation has recently launched a series of Ready-to-UseTM frozen cells designed to expedite high-throughput screening (HTS) and other cellular assays.
As the name suggests, this series of frozen cells is delivered ready to use. These cells allow the user to bypass the lengthy cell culturing process involved in many assays. With Ready-to-UseTM frozen cells, some assays can be completed in as little as 24 hours. "These Ready-to-UseTM frozen cells have the potential to make many researchers' work more efficient and at the same time increase the competitiveness of the institutions that use the cells," says Dr. Stanley Wang, director of the GenScript Assay Department.
The GenScript Ready-to-UseTM frozen cell series is derived from validated GPCR stable cell lines. Different batches generate consistent results. Existing Ready-to-UseTM cells include several varieties and target many different families and receptors, and GenScript has plans for expansion.
GenScript Corporation is a reliable outsourcing partner providing a wide array of services to augment all stages of the drug discovery and biological reagent manufacturing processes, including high-quality gene synthesis and cloning, custom protein expression and purification, custom peptide synthesis and antibody development, custom stable cell line development, and a wide selection of biological reagents to life science researchers in industrial and academic settings.
