  • (1888PressRelease) April 15, 2014 - Russian virtuoso pianist and composer GéNIA is pleased to announce the release of her new Limited Edition EP, "Dreams of Today, Thoughts of Tomorrow" on 28th March 2014. This EP contains five piano solo compositions, and is GéNIA's debut album as a composer.

Publicly known as a classical concert pianist, GéNIA was challenged by the Director of Caffè Nero, Pablo Ettinger who heard GéNIA's improvisations, to compose something that customers in his Caffè would like to listen to. "I wanted to convey a feeling through my music, one that people experience while having a simple cup of coffee. For some a cup of coffee becomes fundamental and the most important first drink of the day. We often think about our past, present or build plans and hopes for the future, whilst having this cup. For a modern person it becomes a modern day meditation" says GéNIA.

Composed mainly in Paris, whilst GéNIA took a sabbatical in 2013, it is influenced by Parisian culture and the lifestyle. GéNIA's frequent trips between London and Paris provided the inspiration for a track entitled 'London - Paris' and was composed on the Eurostar.

"Coffee with Milk', 'Sweet Memories', 'Last Dance', 'London- Paris' and 'Past Love' have already been performed in various concert halls in London and on BBC London Radio, where GéNIA is a frequent guest, as well as in all the branches of Caffé Nero in the UK.

GèNIA will be playing a series of concerts in support of the EP throughout forthcoming months. The next date is 25 April 2014 at the Wathern Hall, London.
