Backed by a wide range of gaming companies including CCP, Shrapnel, Ignition, Xider and more. Generation: Gamerz, LLC will, for 13 days, randomly draw winners and award gaming prizes to celebrate the season.
"We are very fortunate that the game companies are in the spirit of the season and helped us out with all these great prizes," said Christophor Rick, Business Manager at Generation: Gamerz, "now we can give back to the gamers who have made 2007 such a great year for us.
The contest includes prizes like 2 EVE Online prize packages, copies of new games like Mercury Meltdown Revolution, Bounty Bay Online and Flipper Critters, t-shirts, anime and manga from companies like VIZ Media, Frogster, Ojom, and more. "All we ask is for gamers to sign-up for an account and send us their best Christmas gaming story. Everyday will be a random prize package," said Christophor Rick, "except for the 24th which will be Christmas EVE Online and the prize will be an EVE Online prize pack from CCP which includes a hat, poster and 50-day game time card."
Since launching in June 2006 Generation: Gamerz has grown rapidly in readership and popularity. "What started as just some friends reading an occasional blog entry has turned into something we are all very proud of," said Thomas Balistreri, General Manager of Generation: Gamerz, "traffic in November topped 20,000 visitors who read over 25,000 pages and we wanted to show our thanks."
Entries will be accepted beginning Thursday December 6, 2007 and the first winner will be drawn on Thursday December 13, 2007.
