This Web based application gives users to avail information from various 2000+ technical references as well as documents. The search engine is currently used by number of Fortune 500 companies and over 300 leading engineering and science universities across the globe. The product is gaining more popularity day by day as their search is one of the most relevant and the results are shown withing almost no time in-spite of huge amount of data to be scrolled.
Gateway Team was selected as their testing partner on pilot basis for one month two resources in September 2008 after interview and online test conducted by the Client. Gateway Team had displayed highly professional approach during the test cycle. Functional Testing of the application was taken care by Manual software testing with 2 functional testing expert.
At the end of the one month pilot and also during the intermediate walk through client was found to be extremely happy and satisfied with the work executed as well as the level of communication maintained with respect of reporting and keeping client updated about every bug/issue on time. Client has found that only one month of work by Gateway Team helped them saving lots of heartache in their recent release. Client has not only extended the contract of 2 resources for next 2 years but has also added another resource to the team.
Pilot phase testing with Gateway has not only given confidence to Client in manual functional testing but Client has also initiated functional automation for their recent released product as they expect 3 major releases of that product in next one year time. Keeping in mind about the loads of work in coming year Client has added one more resource to the current team for measuring and evaluating performance of their application on various grounds as they are expecting to hit more than 2000 concurrent users in next 6 month and more than 10000 concurrent users in next one year duration. With the given responsibility of opting a best Performance and load testing tool for the client's application Gateway Test Team did ample of market research and technical research on different tools along with evaluating various stages of the application to suggest a 3 month spreaded plan for screening performance of the application via various methods including Stress testing and Load testing.
