- Boston, MA-NH (1888PressRelease) October 09, 2010 - In recognition of October being National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Garden Girl Skin Care will be donating 5% of all sales during the month of October to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
"Garden Girl supports Susan G Komen for the Cure and its commitment find a cure for breast cancer" says Kristin Miller, owner of Garden Girl. "Susan G Komen for the Cure is recognized as a leader in breast cancer research, support and education. We at Garden Girl are concerned about the rising rates of breast cancer, and want to contribute to efforts to stamp out this terrible disease."
Recognizing there is great debate on the influence of chemicals on cancers, in particular breast cancer, Garden Girl fully supports research to uncover the causes of as well as cures for the disease.
"Garden Girl was founded on the belief that the chemicals we are exposed to each day -- from what we eat to what we breathe to the products we put onto our skin -- could play a key role in many wellness issues and diseases, including cancer" says Miller. "For that reason, we have dedicated ourselves to providing products that are free of questionable ingredients like parabens, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate, petroleum products and phthalates. And now we are taking our commitment to the next level by supporting Susan G Komen for the Cure."
