March 19, 2008 - GAO Tek Inc. has released a new Power-ICE for ARM (enhanced parallel JTAG emulator) .GAO Power-ICE is an enhanced parallel JTAG emulator for ARM processors. It provides a high level of performance, and is a low cost, powerful, fast, and easy-to-use tool, which greatly shortens customers' development time.
Completely non-intrusive, GAO Power-ICE for ARM (enhanced parallel JTAG emulator) communicates with the ARM CPU core via JTAG using boundary scan pins. It does not use target memory and does not require porting to the target system.
GAO Power-ICE for ARM also provides complete control of the target processor allowing start, stop and single-step executions; read from, and write to registers, memory, and system I/O; and download code to the target RAM, program on-chip or on board FLASH. GAO Power-ICE for ARM greatly reduces code download time, which translates to more efficient testing and debugging.
FEATURES OF THE POWER-ICE FOR ARM (ENHANCED PARALLEL JTAG EMULATOR):
• Supports ARM7TDMI, ARM720T, ARM9TDMI, ARM920T, ARM922T, ARM940T, ARM ADS and ARM SDT (Support for additional CPUs in development).
• Supports the real-time watch point by directly setting the proper program breakpoint condition into Embedded ICE macrocell of ARM CPU.
• Writes data to the flash memory of target system through the GAO Flash Programmer tool or other flash programming software.
• Firmware can be upgraded via software.
• GAO Power-ICE for ARM together with GAO IDE for ARM facilitates full development work based on the ARM series processors.
