March 12, 2009 - Winner of the IPG Education Publisher of the Year 2009: Galore Park Publishing
At the Independent Publishing Awards 2009, hosted this year on 7th March by BBC Radio 4’s Sarah Montague, Galore Park Publishing was awarded the prize of Best Education Publisher.
The judges commended Galore Park for their commitment to excellence, their strong financial performance, and their dedication to publishing school textbooks for independent schools and parents at a time when many educational publishers were facing falling UK sales. The sale of 13+ Common Entrance exam papers, ISEB Revision books, and textbooks for use in prep schools at Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 had helped Galore Park boost sales to over £1.1 million this year.
Managing Director Nicholas Oulton accepted the award and praised the work of his team in publishing thorough and rigorous textbooks and revision guides. “Galore Park is committed to academic excellence and raising standards in education,” he said. “The success of the company is down to the quality of our staff and the calibre of our authors.”
