September 22, 2008 - Costa Mesa, CA — G8 Brand, the innovative gamer lifestyle brand that features iconic gaming graphics on fashion-forward designs is now available at selected locations of The Closet, California Couture stores.
Gaming enthusiasts who like to look good while also acknowledging their passion for virtual athletics can now visit The Closet stores located in Huntington Beach and Fashion Island to purchase a wide selection of G8 Brand men’s and ladies’ tees, hoodies and accessories.
G8 Brand is the brainchild of t-shirt designer and gamer Tony Crisp. “Video gaming is growing in popularity, and is a recognized sport, thanks in part to the efforts of the Championship Gaming Series (CGS) and Major League Gaming (MLG). Even professional gamers, such as Fatal1ty, have been known to wear non-gaming apparel for lack of having a brand that gamers can be identified by. G8 Brand is now the brand gamers wear to represent their greatest interests.”
G8 Brand is determined to show off the gaming community’s stylish side, while at the same time showcasing gamers who do more than just play video games. G8 Brand also is garnering the attention of competitive gamers, and will continually feature designs worn by some of the world’s best-known gamers. Currently, G8 is featuring a design endorsed by Al|ve, Team XFX’s 2007-2008 Counter Strike Champion, who in addition to being a recognized gamer, is a choreographer and dancer.
“We are excited to carry G8 Brand at The Closet,” says Laura Mendrin. “G8 Brand’s edgy designs offer a thoughtful approach to fashion that appeals to yet another one of our customers.”
Other retailers currently carrying G8 Brand fashions include Michigan-based Hot Pop, Canada’s Global Atomic, and Black Market LA’s Melrose and Long Beach, Calif., locations.
