    On Monday, November 7, 2011 8:15pm in the Berklee Performance Center The Professional Writing and Music Technology Division at Berklee College of Music is presenting a very special concert titled Fusion: An Artistic Crossroads. This event features the diversity of musical styles and genres which best typify Berklee include Jazz, Classical, Electronic/ Computer music, Film Scoring and Dance

    The program will include four world premieres by composers Andrew List, Kari Juusela, Ted Pease, Maria Eugenia Leon, Sarah Eide and Juan Carlos Enriquez performed by virtuosic-dynamic string ensemble The Kalistos Chamber Orchestra, with Francisco Noya guest conductor

    This concert also features many celebrated guest artists including Daniel Ian Smith saxophones, Tim Ray, piano, Keala Kaumeheiwa, bass, Peter Zazofsky, violin,
    Neara Russell, soprano, Kari Juusela, electric cello, Felice Pomeranz, harp, Tom Hojnacki, keyboards, Carla Martinez choreographer/dancer and Michelle Hyunji Kim and Ariana Corradi, dancers.

    • Kari Juusela: "A Shadow on the Rails" for electric/computerized cello, and voice featuring Berklee Alumni Neara Russell, soprano (World Premiere)
    • Andrew List: "Violin Concerto" featuring the celebrated violinist Peter Zazofsky (from the Muir Quartet) with Felice Pomeranz, harp
    • Ted Pease: "Spring Rounds" (Variations on a theme from the Rite of Spring by Igor Stravinsky). A work for Jazz Trio and string orchestra Featuring Daniel Ian Smith, saxophones, Tim Ray, piano, Keala Kaumeheiwa, bass (World Premiere)
    • Juan Carlos Enriquez "Elegy for String Orchestra" choreographed and danced by
    Carla Martinez with Michelle Hyunji Kim and Ariana Corradi,
    • Sarah Eide Original Music composed to accompany scenes from the movie "It"
