November 18, 2008 - Beachwood, Ohio - Giving back to the community is high on the agenda of Funutation Tekademy LLC. In recent years they have supported the WVIZ/PBS auction by donating gift certificates for their Shaker Heights and Fairlawn computer camps. The students at Marcus Garvey Academy (MGA), a charter school in East Cleveland, Ohio, were delighted when Funutation Tekademy instructors volunteered to teach a class on computer game programming. Ross Cockfield, MGA Director said, "This technology is the wave of the future and the exposure to this information kept the kids buzzing for weeks. The kids were happy to receive a copy of the game they created to play with their friends."
Funutation Tekademy is proud to have been a participant in Ingenuity Fest 2008, a truly unique happening that was held throughout Cleveland's Theater District. On November 1, 2008 they could be found with their computers, Sumo Robots and surrounded by kids at the 1st Annual 2008 Cleveland Heights-University Heights Public Library Technology Expo!
In 2009 they will be offering computing fun for everyone, ages 3 to 83+. Why start at 3 years old? At the current rate of technological advancements starting at 8 is too late. The senior community says, "Funutation classes are like the fountain of youth. Join us, take a sip!!"
