This stamp recognised throughout the European Union, guarantees and protects the products authenticity. The whole process from rearing to curing is carried out under strictly controlled guidelines, and each Jamon and Paleta has its own unique identity number guaranteeing quality and ensuring traditional methods are followed, using only the finest local produce.
Orce Serrano Hams is a family run business based in the Granada region of Andalusia famous for its cave dwellings, white washed villages, its culture and its food. The idea behind the business derived from a tiny seedling, planted whilst enjoying the most famous of Spanish tapas – the Serrano or cured mountain ham. With only a love of Spanish food and very little funds, this idea grew with the help and support of local people and government organisations into a successful business run from a traditional cave home, ideally placed to hand pick and source the finest local gastronomic delights.
