French Pavilion On Track For Success At Railtex 2009

The Trade Commission of the French Embassy in the UK will unveil the French Pavilion (Stand 516) at the Railtex trade show, to be held in London from 10 to 12 March 2009. The French Pavilion will showcase eight innovative French companies from across the rail sector.


(1888PressRelease) February 12, 2009 - The French Pavilion will offer a unique environment in which rail-industry contractors, distributors, operators, stakeholders and constructors can discover original products and find new business partners. The exhibiting companies will showcase a range of cutting-edge products across the entire rail sector. These companies are aiming to reinforce their professional contacts and explore new business opportunities between France and the UK.

FLB

FLB is a leading producer of steel bars for concrete railway sleepers and pylons. The company has a 50% share of the French market for twin-block reinforced concrete sleepers. FLB also supplies other European markets as well as North African countries.

Fortal

Fortal is a leading designer of products for use in access and personal safety for the rail industry, including aluminium, fixed and rolling solutions for working at height. The company, which specialises in tailor-made construction, offers a comprehensive service, managing each stage of a project from surveys to design and installation. All quotations include a 3D drawing of the design. Fortal, which has high-standard facilities and high-performance machines, supplies companies including Alstom, Bombardier, Siemens and SNCF.

Fournier Daforib

Fournier Daforib, which was founded in 1945, specialises in equipment for access at height, including wooden, aluminium and fibreglass ladders, extendable ladders for OCS maintenance and installation, scaffolding and, finally, safety systems for collective and individual protection against fall risks.

IBRE

IBRE, which was established in 2005, manufactures products using technology originally developed by Pont-A-Mousson, RENK and SEE. IBRE uses this technology, which is based on cast-iron friction rings moulded on elastic steel inserts, to design and manufacture disk brakes and callipering systems in cast iron or steel. Its products are used by major European railway operators, private networks and OEMs.

At Railtex, IBRE will be demonstrating its new segmented wheel disk brakes, which constitute a real breakthrough in bogie brake technology. These brakes have a much stronger fixation than existing solutions, while retaining the ability to absorb thermal expansion, as well as offering easy maintenance and assembly.

MIRE SAS

MIRE SAS specialises in topography. Its services include design and measurement; software development, such as its Armatis package for use in the rail industry; and topography-oriented training. The company has recently completed a range of projects in relation to the Channel Tunnel Rail Link (surveying and design work) and the Algiers tramway (Algeria), as well as other tram systems in Nantes and Montpellier (France).
