French Pavilion At Ocean Business 2009 Goes Full Steam Ahead

The Trade Commission of the French Embassy in London will showcase the best of French ocean technology at Ocean Business 2009. Ocean Business, which is held every two years at the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton (England), will take place from 31 March to 2 April 2009.


(1888PressRelease) February 17, 2009 - Ocean Business 2009 is expected to attract 240 exhibitors from 24 countries, including Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Ireland, Israel, Japan, the Netherlands, Norway, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, the UK and the USA, as well as 3,000 visitors from more than 30 countries. Ocean Business is a hands-on exhibition incorporating presentations and on-water demonstrations and training sessions, with a wide range of networking opportunities.

A total of seven sea-technology companies from France will be exhibiting at the Ocean Business trade show as part of the French Pavilion (Stand J1), which is being organised with the backing of the French Trade Commission in the UK and UBIFRANCE, the French agency for international business development.

The French companies, from across the sector, will present their innovative products and advanced technological solutions in sea technology in order to reinforce their professional contacts with British partners and to provide new business opportunities for trade between France and the UK.

EURO/CFD

EURO/CFD specialises in the computational simulation of physical phenomena and offers adapted and personalised solutions for each customer. The company, which was founded in 2005 by two experts in scientific simulations, is now the leader in its field, with 10 experts and a computing power of more than 150 processors. EURO/CFD’s expertise can be applied to a wide range of projects.

Hemisphere SUB

Hemisphere SUB specialises in marine coastal management based on its technical and theoretical expertise in marine biology. It offers services both in field work (impact studies, GIS/cartography, scientific diving and benthic inventories) and in research projects carried out with academics from various universities (innovative methodology development and the development of new sustainable coastal management practices).

INGEO

INGEO is one of the leading survey companies in France. It headquarters are in Saint-Omer (northern France) with a further three offices in that region and another branch in Paris. INGEO has been providing bathymetric and hydrographic surveys for seven years and has won major contracts in river studies, port studies and coastal studies. INGEO is the only French surveyor’s office to have a complete chain of multibeam acquisition. The company has just invested in new equipment – a KLEIN system 3000 and a Dual Frequency Side Scan Sonar. This investment has been made possible by the award of a large contract for work to be carried out in Brittany (western France).

NEOTEK

NEOTEK, which was founded in 2004, is an international supplier and manufacturer of electronic instrumentation and systems for environmental and hydrological monitoring, meteorology, oceanography and positioning technologies.
