  • Racine, WI (1888PressRelease) February 28, 2015 - The Kenosha Public Museum is pleased to feature a show of the Southport Quilters Guild members' quilts. The theme for their 2015 show is "Around the Block" featuring more than 60 quilts highlighting the variety of contemporary and traditional blocks of patterns which go into quilts. Their quilts will be on display at the Kenosha Public Museum from March 7-29. This year's show also features a quilt challenge, "Trip Around the World." Each quilter is challenged to create a 20"x20" quilt based on a postcard they have selected and to incorporate the postcard in their design. Quilters will be demonstrating their skills during the run of the show. Stop by and see them at work and learn how they turn fabric and thread into works of art.

Celebrate "National Quilt Day" on Saturday, March 21. Members of the Southport Quilters Guild demonstrate quilting on the Mezzanine and in the Artists Studio and provide hands-on quilting activities for kids.
