June 23, 2008 - GeorgeMedia Web Holdings announced today its launch of ThirtySpace.com, a new social network exclusively for people in their thirties. Like most social networks ThirtySpace.com will allow it's members to post photos, bios, music, videos, and post bulletins. The key difference being that this site will allow its members to socialize with people that more closely share their interests. No children or young adults and no pedophiles searching for victims. The site will also feature news, articles, and other content that Thirty-Somethings are likely to find more appealing says George Boone, the 32 year old founder and self proclaimed "Tom" of ThirtySpace.
Niche social networks targeting a specific demographic have been increasing in numbers over the past year as users grow weary of all of the teenage angst and profile spam found on most of the larger general social networking sites. This newcomer aims to appeal to an often unnoticed middle child in the online social scene. Technically savvy thirty-somethings who are old enough to lack the desire to mingle with teenagers and young adults but young enough to truly enjoy social networking and grasp all of its potential.
The current limited BETA release will allow up to 5,000 members to join and create a free page. After the magic number of 5,000 is reached the open registration will be closed for an as yet undetermined amount of time while the team of developers behind ThirtySpace work to ensure any problems or bugs found during the BETA are properly addressed and or fixed if need be.
