Women play a variety of roles in their lifetime. For example, depending on her unique circumstances, a woman may be a daughter, an aunt, a wife, a friend, a mother, a grandmother or even a great-grandmother.

Traditionally, especially in her family relationships, a woman is likely the nurturer or caregiver. While she is busy meeting the needs of others, a woman may forget to take care of her own needs . . . even needs as fundamental as her own Life & Estate Planning.

Please join Susan D. Nattrass for a complimentary seminar specifically addressing the unique Estate Planning needs of woman.

    About Susan D. Nattrass

Susan D. Nattrass is committed to educating women on estate planning issues in order to preserve not only their assets but their relationships. She advises her clients that there is more to estate planning than transferring wealth, minimizing taxes or protecting assets from creditors, and encourages those with elderly parents to talk to them while they are still able to state their requests. Additionally, she counsels members of the in-between generation--those taking care of both children and aging parents--to develop their own estate plan to provide for their children.

Susan believes that a professionally prepared estate plan can make the difference between family feuds versus family harmony, as well as losing versus retaining assets. Peace of mind and protection of assets and relationships are her ultimate aims.

Since 1994, Susan has been assisting individuals and businesses with their needs in the areas of estate planning and asset protection, trust administration, business entity formation and business succession planning. Her practice has a strong focus on creation, protection and disposition of her clients' assets, and she is committed to removing the fear and stigma many families have about estate planning. To this end, she finds education to be an effective tool, and holds ongoing seminars as well as posts short articles on her website at www.SusanNattrass.com.

Susan also finds it rewarding to advise business owners and various sized companies on employment law, as well as the formation and operation of partnerships, corporations and limited liabilities. Her experience practicing employment and general corporate business law includes five years as an associate at the Law Offices of Dougherty and Hildre, and two years serving as corporate counsel for Yes Television. As a business owner, she launched spaViolet which she sold after 2 years, and has practiced law since 1994.

Susan graduated from the University of Northern Colorado as a Departmental Scholar in Economics and received her Juris Doctorate from the University of San Diego School of Law. She is licensed to practice law in both Washington state and California. A member of the California Bar Association since 1996, Susan is also a member of the Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law Section of the California Bar Association. She is pursuing her certification as a specialist in Estate Planning by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization.

A San Diego resident since the 1970s, Susan, her husband and three children live in Cardiff-By-The-Sea, California. Her community involvement includes membership in the Encinitas and Carlsbad Chambers of Commerce, Pro bono work with the Sudanese Lost Boys and volunteering at Cardiff Elementary and Ada Harris Schools, where her children area students. In her leisure time, Susan enjoys music, art, beading and travel. She has traveled to South Africa with "Dream for Africa."
