Frans Alkemade, a well respected photographer and judge, today announced the launch of his photographic website, AlkemadePhotography.com. Frans, a photographer since the age of 15, has developed his website which boasts a diverse portfolio of images from around the world in black and white and color with an emphasis on portraiture, landscape and architectural photography. All of Frans’ images are for sale on his website.
Frans’ website is comprised of photographs from all over the world with images from the Southwest which includes Arizona, Utah, and New Mexico; the Sierras; the Monterey Peninsula; Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons; New England; Mexico; India; Europe which includes images from the Netherlands, France, Italy, and Greece; and Southeast Asia which includes images from Thailand, Cambodia and Laos. Frans’ website also highlights his photographs in Portraits, Monochrome, and Doors and Windows.
Frans continues to travel and capture images from various places around the world. Most recently Frans traveled to India and stated, “For a photographer India is a picture paradise. It is a fascinating country to explore with lovely people in so many diverse settings.” Frans also recently traveled to Southeast Asia and stated, “I was inspired by the long neck people in Thailand, the monks in their saffron colored robes in Laos, and the fascinating temples of Angkor Wat.” Frans’ website captures the essence of living in these diverse countries. About Frans Alkemade
A native of the Netherlands, Frans immigrated to the United States in 1964. He worked in a graduate research laboratory at Stanford University until he retired and moved to the Pacific Northwest. Now a resident of Southern California, Frans is an active contributor to several photography clubs where he is frequently invited to judge photographic competitions.
Frans has won numerous national and international photographic awards. He won three gold medals in PSA international photo salons and the prestigious Kodak Kinsley Award. His work has been published in magazines, calendars and books and adorns the walls of many homes, corporate offices, and hospitals.
