March 11, 2009 - Leading stone design masters, Francois & Co., will officially celebrate its west coast expansion with a media and design mixer at its new Beverly Hills showroom on March 19th at 7:00 pm PST. Currently showcasing their extensive collection of scagliola stone and limestone pieces at the prime Robertson Boulevard location, Francois & Co. aims to merge Los Angeles’ top interior designers and architects with local media for wine, Hors D’ Oeuvres, and some design chat.
The larger, more visible space has given Francois & Co. the opportunity to capitalize on Beverly Hills’ penchant for all things luxurious and beautiful. The showroom features a wide range of scagliola and limestone mantels, tubs and kitchen hoods – all beautiful reproductions of elegant French antique pieces that are reminiscent of fairytale-esque old world grandeur. Mastered by Francois & Co. as a way of transporting old world heritage to homes in America, scagliola is an authentic way of accurately reproducing antique mantels – capturing every element of European elegance down to the very last detail, crevice and crack. With a plethora of designs and seven exquisite finishes, selecting a mantel that suits and complements any home becomes an effortless foray into 17th century opulence.

Francois & Co.’s Beverly Hills showroom features pieces from Francois & Co.’s “Heritage Collection,” including a line of hand-carved Limestone mantels which reproduce some of Europe’s most picturesque masterpieces. Each mantel is made using fresh cut limestone or stone reclaimed from historical estates, giving these masterpieces an authentic flare unseen elsewhere. In addition to the limestone mantels, the showroom will displays the original antiques from which the replicas were created. These pristine models carry a strong sense of European heritage and lasting beauty, both of which are prevalent in the duplications.
The makers of Francois & Co. regularly travel to France, canvassing the region for the most illustrious models for their handmade masterpieces. Francois & Co.’s French stonemasons then precisely shape identical reproductions by using an unvarying technique from that of the original artist.
