April 26, 2008 - Los Angeles, CA (April 24, 2008) – ABC Family has officially announced that this summer, Francia Raisa (The Cutting Edge 3: Chasing the Dream) is set to star in their as yet “Untitled Brenda Hampton Project,” by the creator of “7th Heaven.” Molly Ringwald (Pretty in Pink), John Schneider (“Smallville”) and Ernie Hudson (“Oz”) are among Francia Raisa in the powerful cast.
The touching one hour drama focuses on the relationships between families and friends and how they deal with an unexpected teen pregnancy. In addition to series regular Francia Raisa as Adrian Lee, the cast includes Shailene Woodley (“The O.C.”) as Amy Juergens, Kenny Baumann as Ben Boykewich, Daren Kagasoff as Ricky Underwood, Greg Finley as ack Pappas, Megan Park as Grace Bowman, India Eisley as Ashley Juergens, Jorge-Luis Pallo as Marcelino (Marc) Molina and Molly Ringwald as Anne Juergens. The recurring cast includes John Schneider as Marshall Bowman, Ernie Hudson as Dr. Ken Fields, Luke Zimmerman as Tom Bowman, Allen Evangelista (“Zoey 101”) as Henry Miller, Amy Rider as Alice Valko, Renee Olstead (“Still Standing”) as Madison Cooperstein, and Camille Winbush (“The Bernie Mac Show”) as Lauren Treacy.
Well known for starring opposite NBC’s “Heroes’” Hayden Panettiere in Bring it On: All or Nothing, Francia Raisa has went on to star in the Nickelodeon film Shredderman Rules. In summer 2007, she shot a lead role in Underground, directed and written by Tinieblas González. Most recently, Francia was the lead female role of MGM’s ABC Family TV movie, The Cutting Edge 3: Chasing the Dream alongside actor Matt Lanter (“Heroes,” “Grey’s Anatomy”).
