“Bikes have always been available on France barge cruises, but we were looking to provide something more”, states Jean-Francois Dabrowski of France Cruises. “Guests typically rode along the side of the bank and didn’t wander too far into the countryside for fear of getting lost. “In the Loire”, continues Ballenberger, “guests will stay in top level hotels and will be treated to guided bike tours to all the major attractions in the area, including famous Chateaux of the Loire like Chenonceau, Chambord, Cheverny, Azay-le-Rideau, Vallandry, Chaumont, and more”.
