April 20, 2009 - The American Society for Non-Destructive Testing (ASNT) (http://www.asnt.org/) is an organization for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) professionals aiming to promote NDT technologies through publishing, certification, research and conferencing. ASNT is considered the single largest certifying body of Level III personnel today and the ASNT NDT Level 3 certification is the most respected and widely accepted NDT certification in the world.
SGS NDT Training and Examination Center (http://www.sgs.com/ndt-training) tutor and examiner Oliver Sun successfully passed ASNT Level 3 Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) and Radiographic Testing (RT) examinations. He is now the fourth SGS tutor holding ASNT certification.
Oliver Sun is a Bachelor of Mechanical Design and Manufacturing with many years of experience in non-destructive testing. The present ASNT certification is a valuable addition to his extensive Chinese Level 3 qualifications.
Mr. Sun played an important role in the foundation of the new SGS NDT Training an Examination Center in Shanghai. Oliver joined the director, Jason Scott, to become the first Chinese technical member of the yet to be formed, Training & Examination Center team. His contribution was crucial in the design and construction phase of the project.
SGS provides training and examinations to NDT technicians, managers and surveyors in accordance with recognized worldwide standards such as EN473 / ISO 9712 / ASNT, with a particular focus on the demand for Personnel Certification of NDT scheme (PCN) which is managed by the British Institute of NDT (BINDT).

The scope of SGS NDT covers both conventional and advanced NDT systems, provided by qualified inspectors to international standards around the world.
