July 23, 2008 - India, Hyderabad: Four Soft (4S) (NSE: "FOURSOFT", BSE: 532521), a global leader offering software solutions for transportation and logistics industry, today announced strong financial results for its first fiscal quarter ended June 30, 2008. The PAT grew to Rs. 277.32 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2008, as compared to Rs. 31.29 million in the corresponding quarter last year. The revenues touched a new high of Rs. 651.28 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2008 as compared to Rs. 470.53 million in the corresponding quarter last year.
The quarter has seen a significant jump in revenues & profits with a unique transaction involving sale of customer-specific legacy software solution to an existing customer on non- exclusive basis. During the quarter, the company also successfully implemented its flag ship products at many customer sites across the globe including that of a blue chip global logistics company.
