Foster Parent College provides innovative online training for foster parents and adoptive and kinship caregivers. Our research-based classes are taught by nationally recognized experts in parenting, pediatrics, social work, psychiatry, psychology and education. The 24 online classes contain general parenting information, like Positive Parenting 1, 2 and 3, plus there are topic-specific courses as well, such as Anger Outbursts, Child Abuse and Neglect, Children with Autism, and more. Most classes cost $8 per person and are available 24/7. FPC credits are accepted by over 1,000 agencies in the USA, Canada, the UK and Australia.

Foster Parent College in Oregon and the Institute for Health Services in Ohio have teamed up to create "Child Abuse and Neglect," the first in a series of online pre-service trainings for new recruits to the foster care system. The course discusses physical signs of abuse, causes of abuse and neglect, and when and how to report abuse. It also helps foster parents empathize with abusive parents.
