  • Phoenix-Mesa, AZ (1888PressRelease) November 04, 2008 - It's official! Former Bad Boy Recording Artist MA$E, now known as Pastor Mason Betha, is heading west. After making several recent trips to the sunny city of Phoenix, AZ., the rapper turned pastor has announced that he will be launching a new branch of El Elyon International Church (EEIC) there this winter. Pastor Mason will continue to oversee EEIC’s flagship church in Atlanta, Georgia, which is currently undergoing renovations to make full use of the 2,000-seat facility.

Phoenix has had its share of excitement this year with Superbowl XLII; Shaquille O Neil being acquired by the Suns; and now the opening of El Elyon International on December 31, 2008. When asked about the decision to expand his ministry, Pastor Mason said, “It just makes sense that we are on both coasts. Our vision has always been to plant churches all over the world, and Phoenix is the first of many. We love the city of Phoenix and look forward to making a tremendous impact.”

Next week Thursday, November 6th, Pastor Mason and his wife, Twyla Betha, will be hosting auditions for musicians and singers at Carl Hayden Highschool, 3333 West Roosevelt Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85009.
