November 07, 2007 - A new device similar to an MP3 player from Silicon Valley-based technology corporation NewReality puts a healthy spin on downloading content. The gadget, dubbed the NXTlynk™ PAD™ (Personal Achievement Device), provides “personal mental coaching” in addition to your music library. The player comes with light-pulsing glasses that stimulate and relax optic nerves. The NewReality Web site features downloadable content for guided Creative Visualization and Relaxation (CVR™) programs.
The PAD is the first portable handheld device of its kind. Similar in size and design to an iPod®, the PAD is launching with NewReality’s CVR programs, designed by esteemed therapist and award-winning author Dr. Patrick Porter. Including more than 200 different 20-minute “mental-coaching” sessions, the downloadable programs address wellness topics from stress and pain management to weight loss, smoking cessation, life mastery, golf mastery, and many more, all utilizing the mental ability to relax, focus, visualize, and achieve a desired outcome.
