Financial Editor Sees No Short Term Benefit For Australian Uranium Companies; Junior Sector Will ‘End In Tears'

FNArena Editor Rudi Filapok-Vandyck reports from Australia for StockInterview.com on the uranium sector 'Down Under.'

(1888PressRelease) July 28, 2006 - SARASOTA, Fla., July 28, 2006 (1888pressrelease.com) -

FNArena financial news editor Rudi Filapok-Vandyck in a Guest Commentary for online news website StockInterview.com, wrote, “The uranium frenzy in the small corners of the Australian mining sector has all the ingredients to end in tears for many an investor – it most certainly will do so.” He added in his weekly musings, “The vast majority of today's explorers will never become a producer.”

The FNArena editor foresees trouble in how junior Australian uranium companies are valued, “If you're an explorer all the market seems to be looking at is the trend for the uranium spot price - to value your assets accordingly.”

Filapok-Vandyck blamed the China treaty signed this past April which “sparked the enthusiasm of investors.” He pointed out, “Truth is the treaty with China is not going to change anything in the short term. It might in the longer run.” And why is that? He wrote, “Because uranium is mostly sold via long running supply contracts. Everything that comes out of the ground in Australia today is already under contract. The first of these contracts are expected to come up for renewal in 2010.”
