On Wednesday, July 25 at 10pm (EST), MOVIE GEEKS UNITED!, a movie-themed talk radio program on the internet, will broadcast a special live interviews with the key filmmakers behind three of the year’s most highly touted documentaries, The Shark is Still Working, The Camden 28 and Your Mommy Kills Animals.

Jake Gove, Erik Hollander, James Gelet, and Michael Roddy, the key filmmakers behind The Shark is Still Working, a three-hour examination of the phenomenon and legacy inspired by Steven Spielberg’s Jaws, will speak to the Movie Geeks about the genesis of their film and share the insights they uncovered from their experiences with the many players from the 1975 hit film, including Spielberg and stars Roy Scheider and Richard Dreyfuss.

Opening this Friday at Cinema Village in New York City, The Camden 28 tells the story of a protest group who set out to destroy all files in a New Jersey draft board office during the Vietnam war. An original member of that protest group, John Swinglish, and the director of the film, Anthony Giacchino, discuss the revolutionary acts of this group, their historic vindication and their unavoidable relevance in today’s turbulent political climate.

Also released this month, Your Mommy Kills Animals explores the animal rights movement, which has been classified by the U.S. government as one of the most viable domestic terror threats in the country. Writer/director Curt Johnson will discuss his film’s even-handed approach, which has won raves by the likes of Variety and many other reputable industry sources.
