Film That Puts The Audience To Sleep Acquires First Fan

Internet Surfer Uncovers Possible Masterpiece

(1888PressRelease) July 15, 2006 - The producer-director of unreleased indie WebcamMurder.com confirmed that the first digital film to intentionally put the audience to sleep has acquired a fan, Joshua Kight of Dublin, Georgia.

Said first time feature filmmaker Sondra Lowell, “I received an email from Mr. Kight in which he stated that he read a review I wrote on Amazon.com and followed my biographical information to my blog at WebcamMurder.blogspot.com and what he hoped would be my film. After strongly suggesting that the movie ought to be more accessible, Mr. Kight’s email ends,‘...So, can I see it?’

“It took me a moment to recognize that on my computer screen was something I had only heard about on Access Hollywood. Fan mail. The movie has not been shown anywhere, and nobody has experienced the calming effect of watching our cast of professional actors do little-to-nothing on Internet webcams for an hour and fifteen minutes.

“And yet, here was the start of a clamor to see it, just like with Star Wars prequels and Pirates of the Caribbean. Naturally, I wrote back proposing to send Mr. Kight a DVD of the movie in return for accepting an otherwise unpaid position as WebcamMurder.com’s First Fan.”

Joshua Kight, a graduate of Harvard Law School who currently puts his education to use in surfing the Internet, did not reply to the email. “I had to do a little Internet research to figure out if I was being set up for god knows what,” he divulged when Sondra repeated the offer: “Your alleged film is called Webcam ‘Murder,’ after all.”
This time Mr. Kight took the job, even while admitting, “I'm a little bit skeptical about being a fan of something I've never seen.”

“Mr. Kight still has not seen WebcamMurder.com,” Sondra said with an eye to truth-in-advertising.”I am hoping and believing he will write back that it put him to sleep.”

Although WebcamMurder.com has not yet been screened, the website of the same name displays representative photos from the movie. The related FilmSleepy.com website gives insights for filmmakers wishing to make their own movies in the new Film Sleepy genre: movies that put the audience to sleep.
