Adopting the Fetch-Burn (read Process)-Standardize mechanism, the Feed Burner seeks the feeds from various merchants on the network, burns (breaks and processes) the data and finally delivers the data that is compatible with the website standards.
Rupiz Affiliates has a pre-defined format to accept and store feeds. Merchants submit category-specific feeds as per the nature of their business( for example an online Business portal would categorize its feed in“Finance”). The Feed Burner then burns these feeds on the basis of products and makes them available for the affiliates. The burning process involves insertion of affiliate-tracking ID to track the sales, altering and manipulating of merchant feeds (if required). Feeds come in various formats that include- XML (Extensible Markup Language), CSV (Comma-Separated Values), Web Services, text files, TAB delimited files and so on.
