December 15, 2007 - The number of counterfeit medications in America and a possible solution to protect consumers was broadcast across the nation on December 10, 2007. FOX News Channel aired a feature on XStream Systems and the unit which can authenticate questionable medications.

In his report, Salinas cited the WHO (World Health Organization) regarding the increasing scope of counterfeit medications and ICE (Immigration Customs Enforcement). This year, ICE has investigated over 200 cases of smuggling of prescription medications and over 650 foreign internet sites that sell into the United States.
