May 31, 2008 - India,Chennai: Following IOPEA Outstanding Export Performance Award for 2005-06, Rajathi Group has now received the Spice Board Award for the year 2005-06 on March 29th, 2008 in Cochin.
The Spice Board honours EXIM Rajathi for their excellent performance in the export of spices for the year 2005-06 with the prestigious Certificate of Honour. This award Instituted by the Spices Board India (Ministry of Commerce, Government of India), to encourage healthy competition among the exporters and growers.
In recognition of this achievement, the Certificate of Honour was conferred to EXIM Rajathi by the Hon’ble Minister for the State for Commerce Shri Jayaram Ramesh. The glittering function had the presence of the Chairman of the Rajathi Group, Dr. N. Murughasan and the Executive Director Mrs. Neena Murughasan to receive this prestigious award.
Honored and delighted Dr. N. Murughasan, attributed the entire recognition to employees, suppliers and the whole network of Rajathi Group for this achievement. Commenting on the success story of Chilli export he said, “Our MAYURI brand of Chillies is well known in the Malaysian market & buyers pay a premium for this variety. Chillies are exported mainly to Malaysia, Sri Lanka & Thailand. Every year EXIM Rajathi exports high quality of Chillies in excess of 13,000 metric tons valued at Rs.75 crore. This year we expect to ship 15,000 mt this year with a value of Rs.100 crores.”
Subsequent to this, EXIM Rajathi is to receive the APEDA Silver Trophy for their performance in Agricultural and processed food category for 2005-06.With over 3 decade of experience in delivering quality Agro based products EXIM Rajathi is the flagship offering of the Rajathi Group.
