LOUIS - St. Louis-based music school Vatterott College ex'treme Institute by Nelly-St. Louis (EI) hosted its second annual graduation on Saturday, December 5, 2015. The commencement ceremony took place at the Center for Global Citizenship on the St. Louis University campus. "We selected this site on the St. Louis University campus as it was the largest venue available to host our event," said Carl Nappa, Campus Director for ex'treme Institute by Nelly. "We were anticipating almost 1,000 people to attend and the results matched our expectations."

    One hundred and twenty graduates participated in the commencement ceremony and were awarded with associate degrees in either Entertainment & Media Business with Management or Recording Engineering & Producing with Management.

    As with the inaugural graduation in 2014, Nelly was once again a prominent member of the processional, "This school is very important to me, it provides kids that have a love for music, an opportunity to find different avenues in the industry and find fulfilling careers and a future, " said Nelly. As guest speaker, Nelly spoke to the work ethic required by the graduates to become successful. Incorporating personal experiences in his inspirational message he focused on both the challenges and rewards the entertainment industry has to offer.

    During the conferral of degrees, Nelly distributed diplomas to the 120 participating graduates. Each graduate then received his personal, heart-felt congratulations and had their picture taken with him, diploma in hand, to capture the special moment.
