Maria de Vries
As part of The European Painters exhibition The Colomb Art Gallery is proud to exhibit a selection of paintings from the Dutch artist Maria de Vries (b.1955).

Known for her chic figurative work Maria de Vries recently noted that within her paintings, “the emotions from the subject blend into the environment, becoming more of a feeling than a recognizable form.”

Her settings contain three diverse themes. People; young and old in relation to each other or in relation to the witness. Animals; limousins, that over many years she has reared. Nature; in particular the Peelstreek area where she now lives and paints.

Many other works from European artists are currently exhibited at The Colomb Art Gallery. High resolution images are available on request. Contact the gallery for artist biographies.
