Estate Planning for Special Needs Families is Topic of Webinar

New Jersey Center for Tourette Syndrome is hosting a free presentation on January 28th.


(1888PressRelease) January 10, 2009 - Helping families of special needs children plan for their financial future is the topic of New Jersey Center for Tourette Syndrome’s latest Wednesday Webinar. Attorney Lori Wolf will discuss “Special Needs Trusts,” during the free webinar which is open to all families, educators and health professionals.

Ms. Wolf will discuss the importance of having a will and the unique issues that must be considered by parents and guardians of a special needs child in putting together an estate plan. This presentation will also highlight the importance of coordinating assets with the estate plan, guardianship issues and considerations in finding the appropriate funding of a special needs trust.

All participants must have simultaneous access to the Internet and a phone. The audio portion will be available by dialing a toll-free number while the visuals will be presented online. New Jersey Center for Tourette Syndrome and Associated Disorders is a collaboration among the Tourette Syndrome Association of New Jersey, Rutgers University and health professionals throughout New Jersey. Tourette Syndrome is a neurological disorder which typically manifests through involuntary movements or vocalizations known as tics. TS affects as many as 1 in every 200 children and is often accompanied by other conditions like obsessive-compulsive and attention deficit disorders.
