Gloria & Heidi Horsley to discuss Loss, Forgiveness, and the Military, on their nationally syndicated talk radio program “Healing the Grieving Heart” Feb. 26th, 2009 at 9 AM PST/12 Noon EST.

Dr. Fred Luskin, Director of the Stanford Forgiveness Project and Eric Hipple former quarterback for the Detroit Lions and outreach coordinator for University of Michigan’s Depression Center will discuss the loss of their children and relate how forgiveness for self and others helps to decrease depression and promote hope and healing. They will share their work with the military and Fred’s work and research with the forgiveness project. Fred is the author of Forgive For Good and Eric is the author, with Dr. Gloria and Dr. Heidi, of Real Men do Cry: A Quarterback’s Inspiring Story of Tackling Depression and Surviving Sucide Loss.

She has a private practice in Manhattan, NY specializing in grief and loss. She is also author of “Teen Grief Relief” and “Real Men Do Cry”. She holds graduate degrees from the University of San Francisco, Columbia University, and Loyola University.

Dr. Gloria C. Horsley, PHD, MFT, CNS, is a bereaved parent, and has worked in the field of family therapy for over twenty years. Dr. Gloria is Founder and President of the Open to Hope Foundation. She serves The Compassionate Friends (http://thecompassionatefriends.org) in a number of roles, including as a Board Director and frequently serves as a media spokesperson in her dual role as a bereaved parent and professional.
