January 24, 2012 - With a positive outlook on a recovering economy, local insurance agents Kagen Cooksley and Kevin Koelemeyer announced the opening of Regency Insurance Group, an independent insurance agency located in Fort Myers, Fla. that serves local, regional and statewide clients.
As independent agents, Cooksley and Koelemeyer research and provide a diverse range of personal insurance options. Regency offers auto, home, personal umbrella, renters, disability, health, flood, life, motorcycle, recreational vehicle and personal watercraft insurance as well as a full suite of commercial insurance from a variety of carriers.

Prior to launching Regency Insurance Group, both Cooksley and Koelemeyer worked for a "captive" insurance agent which requires selling exclusively from that carrier.
Cooksley, a native of Fort Myers, graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with a bachelor's degree in resort and hospitality management. As a student, he worked at several world-class hotels to develop his customer service and professional skills.
Koelemeyer, originally from Buffalo, N.Y., moved to Fort Myers to attend Florida Gulf Coast University where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in business management. Working his way through school, Koelemeyer paid for his own education and learned the value of hard work. During his senior year, he was recruited to work for a captive insurance agent where he and Cooksley met five years ago.
