  • San Diego, CA (1888PressRelease) March 30, 2015 - The online entrepreneurial gateway, Entrepremunity.com, announces a new partnership with the Jyoti Welfare Association that will promote fair trade and transparency for consumers.

The partnership brings together a collective of Northern Indian craftswomen, including Jyoti founder Farzana Nuzhat and her daughter Aafreen Hasnain, who will create a line of exquisite, handmade accessories exclusively for Entrepremunity.com. Founder of Entrepremunity and Installation Artist, Stephanie Louise, describes the move as a stepping-stone into establishing a transparent manufacturing process so that customers will know who is making their goods and how.

"We reached out to British Sustainable Development Consultant, Jocelyn Whipple who assisted us in finding the right partner. Now I'm excited to see the results of almost a year of planning and preparation with this business artistry installation. We have translated the framework of my creative endeavors into accessories, which are made with centuries old techniques from these amazing craftswomen in the collective. Working with Farzana and Aafreen has been a really powerful experience," says the artist.

The Jyoti Welfare Association is an Indian registered society working for over 20 years to provide employment, education and healthcare in a socially responsible workplace for hand embroidery by the predominately female Lucknawi Artisans from the Northern Indian province of Uttar Pradesh. The Association's Director, Ms. Hasnain was selected as an Author of Change at a National Social Entrepreneurship Forum in 2011.

"I did a lot of research because I wanted to work with people who understand the whole ethical flow. We found that with Entrepremunity," says Ms. Hasnain. The results of the first level of the partnership can be seen this Spring exclusively on Entrepremunity.com.
