Cincinnati, OH-KY-IN (1888PressRelease) April 10, 2008 - Lyrical Passion Poetry E-Zine has hit the ground running since their founding editor, R. BAILEY launched the publication in 2007. With an impressive website filled with beautiful haiku and pleasant pictures, it's what many writers call an "extremely well formatted site".

With an impressive number of visitors from the writing community and generous prize payouts, they've launched another writing contest to encourage people to take time out for the arts and be rewarded for their efforts. Their newest contest, "HAIKU in Bloom" which begins 4.10.08 through 7.10.08 has already got writers grabbing their pens.

MISSION: Our goal is to educate young writers as well as adults while entertaining poetry lovers and writers worldwide. Lyrical Passion Poetry E-zine is designed to give unpublished and expert writers the opportunity to showcase their own distinct style. Share your visions and your voice.

GUIDELINES: Limit two haiku (5, 7, 5) poems per entry. There is no limit to the amount of entries. If entering multiple entries, please send two poems per email. Experienced haiku writers need not follow the syllable count. We are seeking high quality haiku poetry. If entering online, type "Haiku In Bloom" in subject line to avoid deletion.

Lyrical Passion Poetry E-Zine is about to close it's January contest and choose a winner but there's 15 more days to enter. Their prize package for one includes an attractive certificate and a monetary prize of $150.00 (US) - See their website for more details.

Congratulations again to Christopher P. Hayes from the University of Mississippi. He's the newest $250 haiku contest winner! His haiku "in the bulrushes" won 1st Place in their last contest. Visit their website to see his winning entry.

Here's what Christopher had to say. Editors,"Whether or not I had won, your website gives me hope that this important form of poetry hasn't been lost in the minds of Western readers."

Founding Editor of Lyrical Passion Poetry E-Zine responds, "I would just like to say thank you for entering and thank you for believing in us. We are a new publication with an old love for the arts. We're small, yet powerful."
