GWUT services allow for 100% of a pipe section to be inspected from a single location. The advantage to pipeline operators is that they need not shut down operations to inspect a segment of pipe. Guided Wave Ultrasonic Testing can pinpoint the exact position of an anomaly and even indicate its position on the pipe using a clock position reference point.
