September 12, 2008 - The club is one of 63 organisations in or serving RAPID areas to be allocated top-up funding following the approval of funds under the Sports Capital Programme 2008 in July.
Minister of State and Clare T.D., Mr. Tony Killeen commented, ‘The Sports Capital and RAPID Programmes have played a major role in the development of sport in this County by allocating funding towards the provision of sports facilities. By doing so, the Programmes are assisting the fantastic efforts of both the volunteers who are the backbone of sport and also the many thousands who play sport, at whatever level”,
“I wish Ennis West Judo Club the best of luck in the future and hope that the EUR5,200 in funding received by the club this year will be used the develop the organisation and sport in Clare”, stated Minister Killeen.
