  • (1888PressRelease) October 01, 2015 - The Strand Cruise offers morning excursion options for passengers staying at a hotel the night before at the point of embarkation or who are arriving on an early morning flight.

    For the Strand Cruise passengers preferring not to join a morning tour, they are welcome to arrive at The Strand Cruise vessel any time after 10 am and enjoy a delightful breakfast on the sun deck through til 12 noon at which point their cabin will be available.

    For the Strand Cruise passengers who would like to join a morning tour, there are several options:
    • For those arriving by air on a flight landing at Bagan or Mandalay airport no later than 8 am, the Strand Cruise will arrange a greeting and pick up at the airport on arrival
    • For those staying at a hotel in Bagan prior to joining the four night Bagan-Mandalay cruise, the meeting point for the morning tour is Bagan Lacquerware House in New Bagan (please arrive by no later than 9.00 am)
    • For those staying at a hotel in Mandalay prior to joining the three night Mandalay-Bagan cruise, the meeting point for the morning tour is U-Bein bridge in Amapura (please arrive by no later than 9.00 am)
    A complimentary welcome breakfast will be served at both locations prior to the tour beginning. After the tour completes, passengers will be taken to the Strand Cruise for their check-in.

    Passengers are kindly asked to tag their luggage, for it to be delivered to their cabin in time for their arrival onboard.
    Passengers not joining a morning tour are required to make their own way to embarkation for the Strand Cruise, at its jetty in Old Bagan or at Gaw Wein jetty in Mandalay. The Strand Cruise is happy to assist in the arrangement of private transportation on request.
