Englewood Hospital Steve Elias, Md Course Director Of The Annual Vascular Fellows Course In Venous Disease May 6, 7 & 8

The Third Annual Vascular Fellows Course in Venous Disease will be held May 6- 8th at the Center for Vein Disease at Englewood Hospital.

New York, NY (1888PressRelease) April 15, 2008 - Steven Elias, MD, the Director of the Center will host the event. The Vascular Fellows Course in Venous Disease will bring together over 30 vascular surgeons-in-training from all over the country representing some of the nation’s most prestigious teaching facilities including Baylor Medical Center, The Cleveland Clinic, and New York University. The fellows will be guided by an internationally recognized faculty. Among those in attendance will be Thomas O'Donnell, MD of Tufts Medical Center; William Marston, MD of the University of North Carolina; Ruth Bush, MD of Texas A&M University; Mark Meissner, MD of Harborview Medical Center in Seattle; and Marc Passman, MD of Vanderbilt University in Nashville.

"The focus of the course is to address the needs of surgeons as they complete their vascular subspecialty training and enter the 'real' vascular world," said Elias. "Fellows will come away with a global view of venous disease and will learn the most advanced and minimally invasive techniques for vein disease,” he concluded.

Most programs teach traditional and invasive methods, but the Center for Vein Disease at Englewood Hospital is well known for its use of cutting edge techniques that attract vascular surgeons from all over the country. Each course has had a waiting list due in part to the Center’s innovative approach to treating vein disease and the vascular surgeons’ thirst for this valuable information to respond to a patient’s desire for less invasive treatment options. Two course venues are available in 2008: May 6-8 at Englewood Hospital, Englewood, New Jersey and September 16-18 at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio. Please send a note of interest to vascularfellows ( @ ) yahoo dot com to learn more dot

The course is endorsed by the Association of Program Directors in Vascular Surgery and American Venous Forum.
