He added, “While caring for the people who are fasting, we have reduced our business hours from 8 to 6 which make our business available from 10:00am to 4:00pm”.
With the announcement of Ramadan moon sighting, comes the holy month of Ramadan every year Muslims all over the world observe fasting, abstaining from food and drink from first light until sundown. The fasting is regarded as a method of self purification of every Muslim by cutting oneself off from worldly comforts and gaining spiritual strength.
Dubai Government has officially announced the working hours of government offices across the country during the holy month of Ramadan. According to the circular issued by the Ministry of Governmental Sector Development the work timings in federal government departments and the offices of the ministries will be open between 9am to 2pm.
Mr. Yousaf Maqbool Hussain, chairman eMyproperty Development said “During Ramadan, Muslims go into fasting literally from dawn to dusk so we have reduced the office timings from eight hours to six hours for all the employees whether Muslim or non-Muslin”. He explained we have tried to minimize the effect of time reduction and set the office time from 10:00am to 4:00pm
